1. Who we are
ChiptuneMAP (chiptunemap.com) is the directory of engine tuning professionals. It is published by Benjamin Fargeot, sole trader (entrepreneur individuel, EI), SIRET 940 859 457 00019, 2 rue du Général Louis Clouet, 33650 La Brède, France, who is the controller for the processing described here.

ChiptuneMAP works together with ChiptunePRO (app.chiptunepro.com), the software for professionals, published by the same person.
2. The directory and pre-filled listings
To make the directory useful to drivers, we also list professionals who have not signed up yet. Their listing is marked “Unclaimed listing”.
- Data used: trade name, workshop address, business phone and email, website, social media, advertised services.
- Sources: information published by the professionals themselves (their website, their business pages) and public directories.
- Why: to help drivers find a professional near them.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interest, and that of drivers, in having a complete directory (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). We only publish business information that is already public.
- Your rights: you can remove your listing at any time in one click (personal link received by email, or from your listing via “Is this your business?”), or write to us. Your business is then added to an opt-out list so that it is never added again.
- Claiming your listing: you can claim it for free to complete it and receive requests from drivers.
3. Emails to professionals
We may write to listed professionals at their generic business address (for example contact@ or info@) to let them know about their listing and invite them to claim it: one invitation, then at most two reminders.
Every email contains a one-click unsubscribe link and a link to remove the listing. Unsubscribing stops all our emails without removing the listing.
- Legal basis: legitimate interest, in compliance with each country's rules on business-to-business marketing.
4. Quote requests
- Data: first name, last name, email, phone, vehicle, requested service, message, appointment date where applicable.
- Registered garage: your request is forwarded to it so that it can reply to you.
- Unregistered garage: we let you know before sending. The garage only receives the vehicle, the service and the city, without your contact details; it sees them if it claims its listing within 30 days. If it does not reply, we suggest registered professionals nearby; your request is only forwarded to one of them if you confirm.
- Legal basis: performance of your request (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Retention: 3 years after the request, by the receiving garage, which becomes responsible for it for the rest of your exchange. Requests that remain without a garage are deleted after 12 months.
5. Professional accounts
- Creating and managing the account, directory listing, ChiptunePRO tools, subscription billing: performance of the contract.
- Information and offer emails related to your business: legitimate interest; you can turn them off at any time in your account or with the unsubscribe link.
- Account deletion: from your settings (effective 30 days after the request, and can be cancelled until then) or by simple written request (handled within one month).
- Accounting records: kept for 10 years (legal obligation).
6. Audience measurement
We measure traffic with Umami, hosted on our own servers, without cookies and without storing your IP address. These statistics are anonymous and are only used to improve the site.

8. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your data.
